Over the weekend of June 1st and 2nd, WWBC hosted two prestigious KCBA bowling days.

The first, held on the Saturday featured the Middleton Cup game between Kent and Hampshire. Hampshire took a real liking to our green, securing a convincing win.

Next day, WWBC hosted the KCBA Division 1 two wood competition.

Twenty four high class bowlers took to the green under wonderful sunshine, producing an excellent display of bowling. The eventual winner was the ever popular Dave King from Woolwich and Plumstead.

A huge thank you to the many WWBC volunteers who worked so hard across both days to deliver a superb standard of hosting for these two prestigious events.

Friday 24th May Nick's funeral was held at the Blue Bell cemetery.

After the service people gathered at the club to celebrate Nick's life.

Nick was a member of the club for over 30 years. He was club captain twice, served on nearly all the committees at some point and was club person of the year in 2015.

Nick was awarded Life membership in 2023. Nick will be deeply missed by all.

On Tuesday May 21st Jeanette Whitehead was presented with her county badge by the Kent Ladies President. Jeanette played for Kent county against Surrey at Shirley Park.
